The Beach
Mackenzie Beach
Awarded with a Blue Flag, Mackenzie Beach is a 1 km long sandy beach with no rocks, reefs, jellyfish or sharks! In the mornings the waters in Mackenzie Beach are usually calm and you can walk in the sea for almost 50 meters and still only be waist deep in water.

The Conditions
During High Season (May - August)
An ideal spot for both beginners & advanced windsurfers and a family-friendly destination!
Early mornings:
- no wind, flat sea
- perfect for stand-up paddleboarding, eFoil and pump foil!
Around 10 am:
- light breeze, calm sea
- perfect for beginner windsurf lessons
After Lunch:
- strong winds, (18-25 knots), small chop
- perfect for more advanced windsurfers who seek to gain some serious speed

Wind Direction
March-April (Mid-Season):
- side onshore wind (port tack)
- the direction is northeast
May-August (High Season)
- side onshore wind (starboard tack)
- the direction is south-south-west.
September-November:
- side onshore & onshore wind
- either northeast or southwest

Sea Temperature
January, February, March & April: 17°-18° (long wetsuit required)
May: 21° (short wetsuits recommended)
June: 24° (board shorts, sunscreen, lycra recommended)
July, August & September: 28° (board shorts, sunscreen, lycra recommended)
October: 25° (no wetsuits required)
November: 23° (short or long wetsuit recommended)
