Mackenzie Beach

Awarded with a Blue Flag, Mackenzie Beach is a 1 km long sandy beach with no rocks, reefs, jellyfish or sharks! In the mornings the waters in Mackenzie Beach are usually calm and you can walk in the sea for almost 50 meters and still only be waist deep in water.

The Conditions in High Season May - August

An ideal spot for both beginners & advanced windsurfers and a family friendly destination!

Early mornings:

• no wind, flat sea
• perfect for Stand Up Paddleboarding

Around 10 am:

• light breeze, calm sea
• perfect for beginners windsurf lessons

After Lunch:

• strong winds, (20-25 knots), small chop
• perfect for more advanced windsurfers who seek to gain some serious speed

• side onshore wind (starboard tack)
• the direction is south-south-west.

March-April (Mid Season):

• side onshore wind (port tack)
• the direction is northeast

September-November:

• side onshore & onshore wind
• either northeast or southwest
